Dr. DePalma is President and Medical Director of Virginia iSpine Physicians where he practices Interventional Spine Care. Dr. DePalma earned his bachelors of science degree in neuroscience with magna cum laude and certificate in foundations of medicine from the Honors College of the University of Pittsburgh in 1995. After earning his medical degree cum laude from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1999, Dr. DePalma completed his residency in the highly regarded department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He was appointed as Academic Chief Resident during his senior year of residency training during which he played a vital role in recruiting internationally recognized spine experts as guest speakers. Dr. DePalma completed his specialized Interventional Spine Care training during a fellowship year at the internationally renowned Penn Spine Center of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.

Kelly Baker is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She has a Bachelors of Science in Cellular, Molecular, and Physiological Biology from Christopher Newport University, a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Kelly is passionate about providing high-quality evidence-based care to help patients enhance their quality of life allowing them to spend time participating in the lifestyle they enjoy most. She truly believes in listening to her patients, answering their questions, and developing a plan of care together.
While her passion for caring for others started at a young age as a veterinary assistant at an urgent care clinic, Kelly’s healthcare career started in dermatology as a surgical assistant for two well renowned skin cancer treatment practices. After graduating with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2017, she worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings as a Registered Nurse for several years, gaining valuable experience in general medicine and urology.
In 2021, Kelly decided to return to school to obtain her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from Virginia Commonwealth University. While at VCU she was inducted into the Gamma Omega at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Phi Kappa Phi. In her final year at VCU, she was instrumental in developing, implementing, and evaluating an interdisciplinary referral process and clinic for patients who are excluded from a kidney transplant due to obesity.
Kelly is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association and is a Certified Lifestyle coach through the CDC’s Diabetes Prevention Program. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and adopted canine, Benjamin.
